Pricing

Energy and credits pay for what the engine does: a turn of play, a generated image, a spoken line. Playing in someone else's game is always free.

Monthly Plans

Plans grant energy at up to 25% more per dollar, but it resets every month on your billing date.

Common Questions

No. Joining a game costs you nothing. A lobby runs on the host’s balance, so you can play as much as you like in public lobbies or in a friend’s game without ever buying anything. You can also build your own worlds by hand for free. Only the AI tools that generate content for you spend energy. Most new accounts start with 1,000 free energy, and verifying your account on Discord grants another 1,000. Beyond that, this is a one-person project paying real costs per turn, so those two grants are the only free energy we can give.

Both are spent on the same things at the same rate. Anything that has to be generated, whether images, narration or text, is compute you are paying for. What differs is how you get them. Energy comes from a plan, which gives you bonus usage for subscribing rather than topping up once, and it expires at the end of each billing period. Credits are bought outright and sit in a separate pool. They never expire, ever. Energy is always used before credits, so your plan’s allotment never goes unused.

It expires. Each renewal replaces the allotment rather than adding to it, so energy does not stack up from one period to the next. A period is one month from the day you subscribed, not a calendar month: join on the 20th and you renew on the 20th, every month. Once you are subscribed the exact date is shown next to your plan above. Credits from a pack are unaffected: nothing that happens to a plan ever touches them.

Any time, from this page: come back here and use the Manage button at the top, which opens the billing portal where you can switch tier, cancel, or update your card. Canceling stops the next renewal and nothing else. You keep the plan and the energy already granted until the period you paid for runs out, and your credits are yours regardless.

No. Upgrading raises your energy to the new tier’s amount rather than adding to what you have: move from 11,000 to 23,000 with 4,000 left and you end up at 23,000, not 27,000. Downgrading takes nothing away, so you keep what is already there until your next renewal.

None on how fast you spend. No hourly windows, no weekly caps, no throttling. You can burn a whole period’s energy in an afternoon if you want to. That is separate from how long a balance lasts: plan energy still resets at each renewal whether or not you used it, and credits from a pack still never expire.

Every turn you play costs us real money in compute, so refunds cannot always be guaranteed. We do want you to be happy with what you paid for, though, so please get in touch: join the Discord or email support@rpgforge.ai, tell us what happened, and give us a chance to make it right.

Thank you for considering supporting RPG Forge. I'm building this on my own, so all of the support goes into making the engine and the worlds in it feel better. If you're ever unsatisfied with a purchase or have any questions, please reach out on Discord or email support@rpgforge.ai.
